Through unorthodox approaches that range from counter-intuitive to outright enigmatic, even 20 year veterans have discovered new ways to tap into phrasing and emotion in their playing in ways previously unexplored. Many students have found that adherence to recommended materials have solved their musical frustration where other approaches have failed.
His general concepts of music have been meticulously crafted through years of spiritual and musical self exploration, study at G.I.T and private lessons with recording/producing/arranging his own music and those of other artists, and many live shows. It is not uncommon for instruction to overlap into studio production, song arrangement and live show performance coaching. As a recording artist, Cypher is well known in the local music scene and beyond and recently had his original songs remixed by Z Morse: Chief sound designer -- Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto records. His debut album will be released in early 2008.

RATES & POLICIES :
Rates: $50/ hour
Billing is monthly and includes all materials, save the rare songbook for challenging artists (i.e Dream Theater) that are difficult to transcribe quickly in a one hour lesson. You will not be required to buy any method books.
Depending on scheduling needs and atlanta driving distance around atlanta, students can elect one of the following:
1) Four, 30 minute instruction (once per week)
2) Two, one hour instruction (bi-monthly)
Hour lessons once per week are recommended for intermediate and advanced players or beginners with prior musical experience who are highly motivated to progress quickly. You will get the most out of lessons involving chord mechanics, theory and composition, and improvisation by maintaining such a regimen and practicing 30min/day or more. Tuition is due in advance on the first day of the month. 24-hour notice is required to cancel a lesson if a makeup is desired. Every effort is made to accomodate the insanely busy schedules but officially speaking, cancellations with less than 24-hour notice or "no shows" will be charged the normal lesson rate.
